The minute that a phone call is made or an email is sent to us here at Intervention MD, the treatment and healing process has already begun. Overcoming the fear of what will happen if you call out the person you love and organize an intervention is the biggest obstacle in the treatment process. If your loved one is not quite willing to ask for help, you beginning the treatment process for him or her is the best gift you could ever give. Once the phone call is made, chances are you will be able to breathe one of the biggest sighs of relief you have had in a long time. The ball is rolling in the right direction.

Before the intervention has even taken place, our intervention specialist along with a client specialist will discuss options for further treatment once the intervention has been performed. This way we are able to gain as much information as possible, and after we meet with the individual seeking treatment we can make the final decision with the family's approval.

Because choosing an intervention is often seen as a last hope measure, our recommendation for initial treatment is usually an inpatient or residential treatment program lasting anywhere from one week to over thirty days. This initial treatment phase is crucial and can help an individual develop lifelong habits and routines to stay away from the temptations of drugs and alcohol.

Once the initial treatment process has been completed Intervention MD will continue to stay in communication with the family and the individual and assist in any way possible whether it be sober coaching, transportation needs or aftercare.
