Professional InterventionistAnswer: The stress of the addict’s death or arrest will be very stressful too. An ailing family member can write an intervention letter that we can read at the intervention. The healthy members of the family can act on their behalf. Intervention is a new beginning and a rescue and is the easier softer way than living with the status quo. The needed strength is to set and live up to consequences. We must love the addict enough to hold firm to not returning to enabling behavior. “Bad things happen when good people do nothing.” WWII quotes referring to the Nazi Germany.
